Storage Center 6.5

Are there any news or release notes for 6.5?

Will the coming Data Compression really only for the SC8000 controllers or also available on the SC40?

Cheers

    From the Enterprise Manager guide..

Data Compression is available only on Storage Centers with dual or single

    SC8000 controllers.

Per SC6.5.10 Admin Guide: Data Compression is available only on Storage Centers using SC8000 controllers that have Data Progression licensed. When enabled, inactive data located on volumes marked for compression is compressed and saved to the most cost-efficient storage. Compression occurs during the normal Data Progression cycle, and therefore a license for Data Progression is also required.

Compressed data may be uncompressed, deleted, or read, and statistics will be updated with or without a license for Data Compression.
