We are receiving the write cache operation faulted error in the SC 4020 storage we use with our customer, and therefore the storage is running slowly. What can we do to solve this problem? The firmware version of the device we use is 6.5.20. Unfortunately, support for the product has ended. Could you share your opinions on the subject?
Thank you for your answer. I have screenshot of the log.I'm share it.
It gives a warning to replace the battery. However, after replacing the battery and charging it, it works without any problems for a few hours or a few days, and then the slowdown problem occurs again.
Unfortunately, the picture did not load. The storage slowdown reoccur after the battery replacement might due to the cache has not been properly cleared, but this need to be determined by the support if this is the root cause. Clearing cache may result to data lost. I may recommend to contact support to provide logs to confirm the issue. Also, there is a need to look into updating the SCOS, as currently the recommended is 7.4.21.

Hello,
To support your storage we need to deep dive in the logs, it could be an issue with cache battery, or simple a learn cycle of the cache battery.
In the log you should have a
controllerId batteryState
can you check it?
Thanks
