Brocade ISL

Question

Hi Guys,

Just a quick check with all of you, if I purchase a brand new DS220 SAN switch, does it come with the capability to link up to another SAN switch to form Inter switch link or do I have to purchase a license to enable that function? If it does come with that capability, what is this DS200B-TR TRUNKING FOR DS-2X0B license for?

You can connect 2 switches without extra costs, but
there's no load balancing and failover built in.

there is no load balancing but what do you mean there is no failover ? If i have two ISL links between two switches and one ISL links goes down ..the other one will take over.

Correct, of course there's failover just no LB
