Connectrix Manager Software Question

Question

We have an existing DS-24 fiber switched fabric connecting a CX300 array... we are installing a replacement CX310 with two DS-4400m switches... I downloaded the user guide and it speaks about configuring the switch with Connectrix Manager/Element Manager... only thing is I do not have this software, it wasn't shipped with the SAN or switches. I have looked in the software downloads section in powerlink and it isn't listed there.

The previous switches were in place when I took over managing them, I connected via a web-interface to manage them.. no special software needed. Do I need to use Connectrix to setup and configure these switches intially? Please help, can someone point me to where I can get the software or give me some advice about best method for the setup. Thanks in advance.

login to the switches via web based interface and get the serial numbers. Email powerlink support and ask them to add Connetrix Manager download option to your profile, i had to request mine to be added. They might ask you for the serial number of your switches.

Thank you for the advice.... you think if they could send me a cross over cable, a null modem cable and a bunch of labels they could at least send me a software CD huh? Oh well, got to play by there game I guess, thanks again
