Is it possible to change/modify default user names in Brocade i.e. admin root fabric, to satisfy auditors requests to disable or rename these accounts?

take a look at FOS admin guide, can't change default accounts ..other than their passwords.

login as root and try this:
usermod -l newadmin admin
Thank you, I have seen this, but it does not say if name of default account can or cannot be chagned

Root is the account to use to disable default accounts, for more security ssh can be disabled for root
