Getting the uptime out of a McData switch

Question

We are currently trying to get the uptime out of our McData EOS 9.7.2 based switches. The SNMP query only gives the uptime since the last network interruption, which isn't accurate as the switches can operate even without an ethernet connection. Is there a CLI command to get the switch uptime, or time since last major error?

Nope, doesn't work. In FOS based switches there is an easy command of switchuptime, but not in EOS based switches it appears.

i see that even Brocade Connect folks don't have an answer for you i searched through the EOS command line guide ..no uptime command, strange.

Try running brocades SanHealth utility against the switches. In the excel report it ships back to you it gives you an uptime for every component in the switch including the CTPs, crossbars, port cards etc - from that you can get a fairly accurate idea of how long it's been up & running.
