ISL

Question

looking to ISL a 48000 and ap7600b.the ap7600 is for recoverpoint.the 48k is running a newer FOS than the 7600.Question is can you ISL them with different FOS versions.

Hi,Yes, you can have ISLs between switches running different OS version. In some environments you can see people having ISLs between different brands like Cisco, McData..........

48k should be running at least 5.3.1 and AP7600B should be at 6.0.1a

You also need a trunking license if you want to use more than just 1 link to interconnect the switches, otherwise you'll end up with 2 (or more) ISL's that are not load balancing !
