Firstly we need to check the led status on the HBA (server) and on the switch. Make sure that it shows green and with required LED for speed. Hope we are not having a failed port on the switch. If above is ok then have port config check with this command 'portcfgshow ' (substitute port number for ), hopefully it shud not be locked.
Also you can try a port disable/enable with this command portcfgdisable and protcfgenable
Please let me know if this help or the output of above commands to see if something can be done further.
The led status was not good, I enabled then disabled the ports and it did not change, finally I removed and configured the hba devices at Unix (AIX) level (rmdev -dl fscs* then cfgmgr) and the led status became normal.
Now I have another problem, the LUNZ hdisks presence, i do not know how to remove them.
