switchport from cx700 SPA Port1 is gray and cursive

Question

Hello,

We have a interesting phenomenon with the new firmware 5.3.0a.
on both sites we have a cx700 connected to a ds32-b2 and on the other side a B5000. On both switches the SPA Port1 from the CX700s is gray and cursive (Port Admin) but is is online and there is no configuration difference between the other SP Ports.

Any ideas whats going on?

I'm sure this doesn't help, but there is a newer firmware out: 5.3.0c, since the a version had issues with loading the GUI in your browser. Perhaps the c version also solves your problem ?

I had to laugh after I came behind this secret: A new feature in the GUI from 5.3.0a!
If you have a zone defined the members which are already in the zone are greyed out in the "availiable" section....(so you cannot not add them twice..)

hmmmm..... I'm guessing here, since I'm not dealing with Brocade ATM, but a storage port (Clariion port or Symm FA) should be in more zones than just 1. So you can't choose an already zoned port for a new zone ?

No No,For the zone you have selected you see the members greyed out which are already in THIS zone. BRManfred
