Time BB Credit Zero : Value incrementing
FOS: 5.0.3
Model: 4100
We have host ports that are logging 1,000s of "Time BB Credit Zero" in short periods of time. We also see this same issue for some high I/O hosts on other model switches at higher FOS levels. What we have read thus far indicates that the BB Credits hitting 0 causes a pause (performance impact) in the FC traffic between the port and the attached device. Can someone confirm this, point to some good documentation, or share their experience with this metric? Thank You!!!

Here's an expert of what he said "While those that I spoke with didn¿t come out and say ¿ignore it¿, they did reiterate over and over that that an incrementing counter is a normal function of FOS and shouldn¿t be a cause for any concern. Analysis of that counter alone wasn¿t an indication of BB credit loss. I told them they should change the name of the counter because it is a cause for confusion. They agreed that it has caused some confusion."
In future versions of FOS you will see this counter called something else.
