refund

I have tried to call someone who will listen to me about my problem to no avail. I was told I would receive my refund within 7-10 days upon receipt of the items I had sent back. It is now 10 days today and no refund. I have called many times during the waiting time and many times today. I cannot get any answers other than "we have expedited your claim". I have been told this the first week, the second, you get my drift. No one will commit to any kind of time I would receive it. My feeling is I may never get my refund. What is going on over there in India. My opinion Dell has made a BIG mistake letting them handle any customer service. Help who can I call to help. Maybe Facebook?

Why do you feel the need to spam the board with three threads about the same issue?  This is NOT  the way to get the help you are looking for.  It is also against the TOU of the forum and could result in you being banned.

I see your postS....as far as the time issue, that was only AN ESTIMATE.   Time may vary depending on circumstances etc.   As far as Dell keeping your money, thanks for the chuckles.

Sorry, I am new to this and didn't know how to do it. One said message the other forum so I thought I had to send one to the question and already sent one to the forum. Will you forgive me?

Ednavogel,

Thanks for your post, and your concern about your refund.

As has been posted in this board somewhat earlier, refunds generally take around 30-45 days to process.

The breakdown is like this:

10 days for the item to return to Dell - UPS uses the cheapest method to return and is usually the slowest

10 days for the item to be scanned and checked by the receiving facility - This is normal

10 days for the finance department to issue the refund and credit your account - also normal

10 days for the bank to credit your card or as long as a complete billing cycle - we have no control on this

Add an additional 5 days if you used the Dell Preferred Account

All this can happen faster or slower depending upon the number of refunds in the current queue and transportation delays.

The person you spoke to on the phone is essentially correct, it does take 7-10 days to process the refund after it is received and scanned into the system.  Hopefully your refund will happen sooner if they offered to expidite it.

Regards,

Robert

So 7 to 10 days on an auto canceled order to be sent back to my bank for the refund to post back to my account. Slow batching and turn around but that's fine if it will be back in that time frame.
