Has anyone had a problem in changing the email notifications? I get an error; "...cannot reserved email address. I can't delete or rename.
No Events found!

"not fixed" is not helpful.
As requested, can you please post more detail about your issue if you want useful responses from your community peers here.

I thought the attachment of the error was included. I'm sorry. Here is the error; remove an user that is no longer employed.

Isn't correct address autosupport-alert@autosupport.datadomain.com and not autosupport@autosupport.datadomain.com ?

Can you try it from command line please:
sysadmin@DD01# autosupport show alert-summary
Alert summary is sent to:
sysadmin@lab.customer
autosupport@autosupport.datadomain.com
bogus.email@lab.customer
autosupport del alert-summary emails bogus.email@lab.customer
Obviously, substitute the email for the one you would like to remove.

Jonathan

Hi donnaslusher,
My name is Patrick Betts and I'm with DataDomain Support. Could you possibly email me directly at lawrence.betts@emc.com ( I go by my middle name). I'd like to look into this a little deeper to see if you may need a service request opened to fix this issue. Thanks in advance.
Best Regards,
Patrick Betts

Donna,
It was a pleasure assisting you with this issue. We found that somehow, the autosupport@autosupport.datadomain.com address had been added back into the email lists sometime in the past. Since that address is reserved by the system, you were unable to remove it via the GUI. We ended up fixing it by utilizing the CLI and running this command:
autosupport reset { alert-summary | asup-detailed | support-notify }
Reset asup-detailed email list or alert-summary email list or support-notify setting
This command would have also reset the schedules, but yours didn't need to be changed:
autosupport reset all Reset (to default) all parameters
After doing so you were able to successfully configure your email lists.
Best Regards,
Patrick Betts

Hrvoje,
The correct address is autosupport@autosupport.datadomain.com. Our servers catalog them based on alert summaries, dailies, etc.

Glad you're sorted Donna
Hrvoje, scheduled stuff gets sent to autosupport@autosupport.datadomain.com
Check with this; autosupport show all
Events (faults/alerts) get sent (when an alert happens, not scheduled) to;
autosupport-alert@autosupport.datadomain.com
Check with this; alert notify-list show
Both of the above email addresses are populated on the DDR by default - straight out of the box, hence the 'reserved'.
In case you're interested;
Hidden between DDOS 5.3 and before 5.6 is an option to send connect homes to EMC via ESRS or direct via ConnectEMC (using your mail server for ConnectEMC).
In 5.6 the option is not hidden and has a couple of enhancements, the few simple steps are more clearly stated in the documentation for 5.6.
This functionality allows you to email or HTTPS to your ESRS gateway and for it to be sent home to EMC direct by HTTPS securely.
Sending home to EMC in this way populates more backend EMC systems more clearly for easier reporting/tracking and is likely to be the connect home model we will adopt going forward with Data Domain.
If you have ESRS at your site, you may want to set it up, I know you like to play.
Note: you may need to open the HTTPS firewall port between the DD and the gateway.
You can still receive internal emails using the existing email method, they can both co-exist together.
Regards, Jonathan

Hi,
I was originally referring to ad-hoc alerts (got confused a bit by screenshot and I read daily alert, but ignored summary part - not a GUI used hehe). Thnx!
