Datadomain Networking

I have two DD2500 DataDomains: I use Networker 8.2 windows

I configured 4 ports on both of them and bind them to a virtual interface.

When I do a backup it uses all four network cards. When I clone the Primary Datadomain where I backed up to use the management port to read. I did My ip addresses and names are correct.

    Hi,

I have moved the discussion to the Data Domain Support forum for better visibility and indexing. If you think this is not a relevant area, please click on 'Move' under the 'Actions' widget and enter the appropriate space the content should be moved to.

Do you use ifgroups?  If not, how exactly did you connect/bind ports?  Next, replication is CCR type or some other?

    Hi,

Are you actually using 5x NIC's - sorry it's not clear which port you are calling management?

veth0 maybe is aggregated with 4x NICs (LACP) and then one further single port for management - perhaps your default gateway is on the management port only?

You may need to set a route between your 2x DD's to force replication traffic across that IF and not your backup virtual interface.

"Net show settings" and "net show hardware" may help the discussion - along with your default gateway - "route show gateway".

Please de-sensitize the IP's/hostname you paste here (public forum and all).

    Regards, Jonathan
