DD640 RAID Type
Hi All,
We bought EMC data domain 640 with ES30 enclosure.
Please find the below output and tell me which RAID type is used in disk group 0 and disk group 1 ? and where can i find that?

All Data Domain systems except the DD120 use RAID6 protection.

Hi.
Was the internal controller configured with all 12 drives from the start?
By default the DD uses RAID 6.
So dg0 will be 12 disks minus 1 for spare - 2 disks for raid leaving 9 disks worth of capacity which should come to about 8.3TB.
The same for the ES30 shelf.
15 disks minus 1 for spare minus 2 disks for raid leaving 12 disks for capacity which comes to about 21.6TB.
This will leave you with 30TB of usable capacity.
I think I have this correct.
