How do I programatically perform operations on the DD2500?

Right now a DD2500 in data center 1 performs a save on our production IBM i LPAR in that DC.  Then the DD2500 In DC1 replicates the tape to the DD2500 in DC2.  At this time the tape is in the DC1-vtl-dr pool on the vtl in DC2.  I need to move the tape from the DC1-vtl-dr pool to the DC2-vtl pool before BRMS running on IBM i is able to restore onto our test lpar at DC2.  I know how to do this using the web interface.  I was hoping to do this using some command line interface so that I could come in the morning and my test data lpar would be all refreshed.

So can I programmatically bypass the web interface and use a command line interface remotely?  Perhaps via a SSH script or some such thing?  If so, are there instructions available which show:

1 - How to setup remote command line access?

2 - Command line syntax?
