Password to extract Data Domain RMAN plugin.

Hello,

In a near future we will test Oracle RMAN backups to Data Domain, therefore I have downloaded the "DD Boost for Oracle RMAN" plugin 1.2.1 but I cannot extract files as it is encrypted... This is the first time I see that with EMC downloads.

I did not saw any reference to this password in the release notes or even in the administration guide.

Does anyone knows what is the default password ?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Nice, so not only do I have to pay for DDBoost license on DD, I also now have to pay for the plug-in to use it. So I am paying twice now ?

Dynamox,

It's password protected and being moderated because it is now part of the Data Domain Boost for Enterprise Applications Suite and requires a license.

This is extremely frustrating. EMC, please consider removing the password requirement on the plugin binaries .zip.

I’m facing the same situation when trying to unzip the plugin. It seems password called doesn’t work to unzip. I tried it for below files. Please advise, what is the correct password.

RMAN_1.2.1.0-436349_RMAN_linux_64.tar

RMAN_1.3.0.1-480706_RMAN_linux_64.tar

Dynamox,

Yes, I can understand that plugin is password protected since it involves ddboost licensing. So my concern is, if we have proper licensing, then what is the way that we can find the password to unzip the file.

i am sure if you open a ticket with EMC licensing, give them the PO/SO number, they can validate your licensing and give you the password.
