DPA 6 Custom Control Panel

First off, I love the new DPA 6 and all of its capabilities.  I do, however, look forward to SP1 getting released.  I am missing documentation, capabilities, or something...not sure I know what.  So I thought I would pose the issue here and see if I can elicit feedback.  I have created a custom control panel that has the content I wish to have.  I run the report as a web page in embedded format.  When I perform a save and test it works great in Outlook.  When I view it on my phone it does not look so great.  The same thing if I run the control panel as an actual report from the report list.  This is due to the size specification in the size and position section of the control panel.  The default is 100 x 100.  In the view I see in Outlook, it seems to take it like a percentage making it display as expected.  When viewing in any other format, it does not work and shows only 100 x 100.  I have tried sizing these widgets but it is an extremely cumbersome process.  Is there a way to use a percentage of the screen, a use as much space as needed option, etc to make this less laborious?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

hi,

thanks for the great comments and feedback.  In SP1, we anticipate changing the Control Panel Editor so that you can drag each report to the desired size    We are also looking at adding in the ability to add Buttons (thumbnail to launch into detailed reports), images and titles.

Right now, for the viewing on phone part, try using the Advanced tab of the publishing output option and use a template named "css" and see if that works better for you .

As a matter of fact, unfortunately it broke the scheduled report all together.  Even when I switched it back to Default I could not get any further reports to e-mail out anymore.  I had to recreate the scheduled jobs to make this work again.

Thank you for the suggestion but unfortunately what happens is that when I change the format to CSS in the publish settings away from Default, it will no longer send via e-mail when performing a Save & Test so I cannot tell if this fixed anything or not.

I will put in a query to have it investigated.  If you have opened an SR with EMC Support , then please let me know and I can attach it to the investigation.
