DPA hidden switches

We occasionally have resorted to using historical collections to cover over gaps left by technical issues.  One thing I believe is happening from the latest one is the Force Short Client Names option is not being followed during a historical collection (I have not bothered to try to prove this yet).  I was wondering if the command line might need an undocumented switch to force this option?
