Support for Networker v7.6.4-train

Hi,

I'm having some issues with clients not showing up in the DPA backup-reports.

After investigating the datamine-tables, it seems there are no records in the backupjob-table for those clients either, so it's kind of logical that they are not in the DPA-reports.

I noticed that our nsr-server is running v7.6.4 and that this version is not in the compatibility-matrix of the DPA-docs. DPA v5.8.3 includes support for networker v8.0, but it seems to jump from v7.6.3 immediately to v8.0.

Does anybody know if networker v7.6.4 is supported in any DPA-version, maybe DPA v5.8.3? Or if it creates issues? The customer is currently running on DPA  v5.8.1.

Hi Karl,

I believe it is likely to be the case that NW 7.6.4 was not certified against, however DPA should be able to gather data from it.

If it is just jobs that are missing (and the clients, groups, and other NSR resources are showing up in the DPA navigation tree) then it is likely to be an issue with the NetWorker JobMonitor request.

What I would recommend is to raise a ticket with support via Powerlink so that a member of the support team can investigate the issue for you. Unfortunately there are too many potential causes (permissions, commands timing out, etc) to be able to try and troubleshoot effectively via here.
