12th Gen Servers pulled from the update catalog?!

Hey Folks,

Up until the start of the new year... updates were listed for my 12th Gen (PowerEdge X20) systems... but all of a sudden they're listed as "unknown" because they're no longer in the catalog... with this status:

Update file not in catalog; Check dell.com/support

Did Dell just drop support for them in OME?.. If so... that's a little lame...

Any ideas?

Hello aspeagle,

As of the end of 2022 the majority of 12th generation platforms will reach the end of support life.

December 2022, versions of Catalog/Linux Repository/SUU will be the last to contain PowerEdge 12G platform content.

This page has a note explaining 12G servers have reached end of support life : https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000132986/dell-emc-catalog-links-for-poweredge-servers

Note: Dell PowerEdge 9th, 10th,11th and 12th Generation servers have reached end of support life, new catalogs do not carry content for these platforms.

This Catalog December 30th  (22.12.30) is the last to include 12gen servers :
https://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER09389969M/1/Catalog.cab

Any future catalogs will not contain PowerEdge 12G platform content.

I think this is a bad move for Dell. New catalogs obviously shouldn't have NEW content for older servers... but, why not continue to include existing content for these servers?  Doesn't seem like it should be overly burdensome on the catalog.

@aspeagle Because Dell claims they care about nature and ecology and forces everyone to put our servers in the trashbin.

They show their ESG criterias and at the same time pollute the planet.

What a joke !

By the way I found a work around.
