Adding windows servers via openSSH shows duplicate entries in devices
I've added an r510 and an T620 via openSSH. I undersand that the R510 will have very limited functionality, but both servers are showing duplicate entries in the device list. They also show different service tag of much longer length than normal, compared their iDRAC entries. I've circled the pairs of entries (drac & openSSH) below:

Hi,
What OS is running on both R510 and T620? When you are discovering the servers, are you using IP addresses? Can you delete both all entries of the server, and discover them via openSSH on IP address, and check the results. If possible, try restarting the appliance. Also, can I know if all firmware of both servers are up to date? What version of OMEnt are you using?
Let me know more.

Removing and re-adding by IP did not help.
Rebooting the appliance did not help.
They're both running windows server 2012 r2
omEnt Version 3.5.0 (Build 60)
The drac firmware for the T620 is 2.65.65.65, for the R510 is 2.92 (Build 05)

Would you be able to try the 3.2 version of Enterprise, as I am not showing the R510 as supporting 3.5.
Let me know if that helps.

I apologize, from under the R510 it is only listing 3.2.
Would you be able to confirm a couple things for me?

yes, wsman for idrac and openssh for host access.
I didnt specify a range for discovery, I have two separate discovery jobs: one for ssh and one for idrac. Each job only has the IP needed for the machine being discovered.

That simply isn't true, they do not provide anywhere near the same info or options. Here is the iDRAC entry:
As you can see it has all of the hardware sections you would expect from iDRAC.
On the other hand here is the openSSH host entry for the same machine:
If you're only using only the openSSH host entry you're missing out on a LOT of hardware info. But the openSSH entry is the only way to manage things like drivers

I made this mistake in my first attempts with ssh too.
You must decide for one method: iDRAC _or_ Operating System (ssh). Otherwise you see both versions with their different properties and possibilities. It's not necessary to detect both versions. The ssh-version contains all information the iDRAC-version has.

Hi,
Previous you mentioned about removing the instances and adding by the IP, have you removed both iDRAC and SSH discovery, and just adding the server by openSSH IP?

I have tried removing all entries for the server and then re-adding in order of idrac first, then openSSH, and also openSSH first then iDRAC and both methods result in duplicate entries.
I have not added it as openSSH and then not added the iDRAC entry since that leaves me blind to most of the functionality of openManage Enterprise.
Why would I want to add a server as openSSH without adding it via iDRAC? I have already posted screenshots above as to why adding it as openSSH only gives you no visibility to the hardware status of the server. Are you saying I shouldnt user openmanage enterprise to manage my dell servers if they have windows on them?

At this point I would suggest calling in for support with the OpenManage group, as they would be able to help you get the issue resolved easier.
