Configuring Event Notifications via OME

I created a template to capture eventfilters and noticed that I can only apply this template to some of my servers. I cant make any sense of this. I even deleted and rediscovered the servers and I still cannot select them to apply the template. I even went as far as using one of these servers as a reference, but still no luck. Any ideas? Is there a better way to configure email alerts? I've been using RACADM, but cant see to successfully configure all of the alerts using it.
