Connectivity issues with OM Enterprise

Judging from the threads in this section of the community I'm not the only one having this problem, but I'll add my voice to the complaints.

We've just deployed OM Enterprise in our environment, hoping to move from OpenManage Essentials. So far I've discovered two of our chassis (M1000e and FX2s) and OMEnt automatically picked up their associated servers and IO modules.

All seemed well at first, but now I'm getting frequent "Unable to perform the operation on the device because connection with the device is lost." critical alerts from OMEnt for various devices. It's too random to be problems with these specific devices. I'm not sure what it's doing, since the GUI gives very little information, but whatever status or inventory query is being run is obviously having trouble. If I manually refresh the Status the alert clears (until next time OMEnt errors out), which is another indicator it's not a problem specific to the device in question.

OpenManage Essentials has options to change status query settings such as ping number and timeout, but I don't see the equivalent anywhere in OpenManage Enterprise. This is troubling since we need to move off OpenManage Essentials but we can't be getting phantom critical alerts all day. That's not reasonable.

I'm from the community social support, and we're monitoring the posts. Honestly, I'm unsure if there is configuration issue between OME and the server discovery, or it's an entirely OME's issue. Since you also have posted another post on email notification from OME,  I would recommend to call in for support and let the technical supports help check if there is any particular needs to resolve the issue that you're having, on both connection and email notification issue.
