How much RAM should an OMEnt VM be using?
Hi,
We have some OME VMs running to monitor hardware in some various locations. One of them is using up way more RAM than the others, even though it's monitoring the least number of machines. We use Hyper-V, and our OME VMs are assigned between 16 - 20 Gigs of RAM. Most are OK with what they're assigned, but one is trying to use over 32 Gigs according to the HPV stats. This is causing our monitoring system to send us lots of alerts.
So, a couple questions:
- Is there a reason one OME instance might be trying to use so much RAM?
- Is there a way to cap the RAM within the OME Settings somewhere so it stops trying to get more?
Thanks for any help.

Hello kelemvor33,
I have not seen this reported yet. It may take more research.
It looks like you meet OME hardware requirements. Have you tried assigning this one 32G RAM?

Have you checked job queue for any stuck or failed jobs?
Give these a try and check results after each:
*Restart services : https://dell.to/41HoX7o
*Restart appliance
*If you are able you may also try rebooting the host.
