Hyper V checkpoint

Question

Hello I can't seem to create checkpoints on the machine running OpenManage Enterprise.I'm guessing this is because of centOS and I can't troubleshoot this myself since I can't access shell.Anyone have any idea how to fix this or how to gain shell access (root)? Regards

Is this an standard or a production checkpoint? What is the host OS version? Finally, what is the VM generation?

centos 3.10 openanage 3.2 production checkpoint (backup exec also fails on this machine) gen 1
