Installing OpenManage power manager

We have installed the OpenManage Enterprise server to manage a number of physical servers with perpetual OpenManage Enterprise Advanced license. On the "Console and Plugins" page of the OpenManage Enterprise web interface, I am unable to add the Power Manager plugin. I tried both automatic (direct download from dell.com) and manual installation but neither of them worked. Have I missed something about the installation?

We were connecting to an online Dell repository but we did not see the Power Manager section as stated in step 3.

Hi,

This may help:

Download and install for Dell EMC OpenManage Enterprise Power Manager

Power Manager 1.2 is an extension for the Dell EMC OpenManage Enterprise (minimum version 3.4). To download and install or upgrade this extension:

Ensure user of Dell EMC OpenManage Enterprise version 3.4 or newer.
  1. Connectivity to the Power Manager extension
  2. Launch Dell EMC OpenManage Enterprise
  3. In Applications Settings, click Console and Extensions. The console and Extension page is displayed.
  4. In Power Manager section, click More Actions > Install. The Install Extension window is displayed.
  5. Click Download Extension. The extension is downloaded, and the status of the download is displayed on a green color band at the top-right corner.
  6. Review and ensure that you meet the list of prerequisites that are mentioned in the Prerequisite section.
  7. In Install Details, select the required version of Dell EMC OpenManage Enterprise Power Manager from the Version(s) drop-down menu, and then click Install Extension. The details of the number of users who are logged in to OpenManage Enterprise, tasks in progress, and schedule jobs are displayed in the confirmation window. To confirm the installation, select I agree that I have captured the snapshot of the OM Enterprise appliance prior to the upgrade option, and then click Confirm Install. The status of installation is displayed.

Offline repository: Download the Power Manager extension files and extract to your offline repository

In my case I was trying to install Power Manager using offline method from NFS shared folder on my CentOS server. "Test Connection" was successful but in Plugins I had "No Data Available". Nothing usefull in debug logs either. I found out that I have to disable NFS version 4 on server side so OME can mount it. That fixed it for me. Hope this would be helpful.
