No Information in Inventory

Hey,

we are running OME since one month and after a while some host dont display any Information in the Configuration Inventory Tab. We also arent able to create a Compliance Baseline because we dont have information about the devices.

Is there already a fix or workaround ?

Ive already check for Firewall Drops on several hosts and networks.

Hi,

Few questions to narrow down the problem:

  • Which version of OpenManage Enterprise are you using?
  • Do all the iDRACs have "iDRAC Enterprise License" and "Server Configuration License"?
  • Do you have a template added to Compliance Baseline? Basically, do you have a baseline created?
  • Can you find anything obviously different between the servers where you can see the information and where you cannot, like license, subnet, network bandwidth, etc?
  • Also, you have mentioned after a while they don't show any information, does that mean they were showing all the information in Configuration Inventory tab in the beginning?

Hey,

  1. We are currently running 3.0.0
  2. I've compared a working and a non working host and both have the same license
    • OpenManage Essentials Advanced Features
    • iDRAC8 Enterprise License
  3. I've created on with a working host and anything is fine only the host with the problem show a question mark in the compliance report. When we create a baseline with a non working host we get a SYS045 error. SMBv1 is enabled and ive check all NFS, CIFS and HTTP/S Ports for the network (Some are in the same network as the ome appliance in which we don't run a firewall).
  4. I've also compared all settings on multiple hosts and i didnt found any unique difference for working and non working host. The only thing if noticed was that older host dont have the problem but all are running the same hardware and software.
  5. Im not sure but i think at first it worked before.

Hi, would you mind sharing a bit of insight into the solution? 

I'm having this problem but only for Configuration Inventory. My Hardware and Firmware populate and update just fine. Can't figure out why only 8x of my 100+ R630's won't let me push Config baselines for iDRAC only.

The 'Refresh Invnetory' works just fine for the nodes. The Configuration Inventory tab however is blank and displays "No Information."

UPdate... i deleted the device and re-discovered. 

 

The Configurations Inventory tab now populates with accurate data. However i get an error a the bottom right corner regarding a "Template ID." See screenshot. 

The R630 also does not show up in the list when attempting to deploy a Configuration Baseline. So I can't push my config to it still.
