No System Down alerts
None of our out-of-band servers generate alerts when they're offline or rebooting. I'm assuming that this is because OMEnt is fixated on iDRAC, which of course remains up and available.
We do see the 'System Health' events indicating link down and link up on the regular network interfaces, but these are only informational.
With OM Essentials, we got alerts whenever a system went offline, whether it was down or just a reboot.
Is there a configuration I'm missing that will trigger an alert when a system is down based on regular network interface, as opposed to the iDRAC interace?

Hi,
OME gets it's alerts from iDRAC, could you check if the alerts of system status in iDRAC logs are listed. If no, it's probably the iDRAC alert settings that need to be configured. Also, do you have custom alert policy?
