OM Enterprise not usable

Hi,

after some testing i want to give you a feedback comparing to Essentials.

Alerts are a mess. Not possible to get a clean overview about our hardware. See also other Threads here.

Firmware updates are even worst. In Essentials we have a nice overview, can select some devices and see what we will update. Now we have a unusable list, where i have to dropdown each device to check.

When we want to do the update, we don't receive feedback what will be updated. Also i read here about a problem without a clean reboot. So back to SUU after Essentials will stop working?

The Discovery don't work in proper way. In essentials we have 190 devices (in-band). in Enterprise just 150 (out-of band). The iDracs are reachable and the credentials are ok.

Hi,

wanted to give my feedback after a period, where i was hoping that the tool will receive some updates. Nothing happens, it's still a mess and unusable for us.

Is anyone really using the tool? My collegues are loughting about the usablity and just use the old OM Essentials, or the SUU.

Hi,

we're using the latest version and the online catalog.

I found now a view, which is a little similiar to the old one, to be able to patch the systems, but still not comaparable with the Essentials. Why you hide this feature. In the essentials i have a tab for updates, and i can select my devices. Nice and easy, but here you have to search for it. Why making things more complicated. Also that no clean reboot is possible from the application, and we have to reboot the systems manually, that have no weekly reboot configured.

Configuration -> FW/Driver Complience -> on right site "view Report" -> then i can select devices which i want to update. Is there another way? Why it was named report? Try to understand the logic behind that.

Also i recognized, if i do the updates, and he update the idrac, everything else fails sometimes, because the idrac is restarting.

Another anoying point: I want select a server, i have to go to the devices tab, then select advanced filter, enter my servernmae and then i can select my server.

If i'm using the "search everything" bar on the top in the homescreen, and enter a servername, it always shows me 2-3 servers. But, it shows "Servermodell" + "Service Tag", but not the servername. Sry i don't have all the ST in my mind. Also very "smart".

Honestly guys, who is using this tool?
