OME 3.9.0 missing SMBv1
With OME 3.9.0 all our firmware downloads on R430 began failing with "Unable to download Update Package". Apparently SMBv1 is to blame according to some googling. However, google also says that I should go to "Application settings -> Console Preferences -> " and modify it there. However, I can't find any settings regarding SMBv1 there. Has it been removed? I should I update the hardware now?

it worked on mine (Version 3.9.0 (Build 55))
I mean, I could update the firmware with this setting for a server what failed before for SMBv1 reason.

Hello @tosaraja,
I have seen this error with different OME versions, and it is usually a network error. You can try the following troubleshoot:
-Test with only FW iDRAC update from OMEnt and check the error message in the iDRAC.
- Perform a FW update manually via idrac. Then check OMEnt, and verify is the appliance shares as HTTPS.
- Checking other devices, do you have the same issue with FW updates?
- Make sure that ports 137,138 are open.
If problem persist after this, I suggest you to open a case directly with OMEnt support. They will request a log and maybe check the error on a remote session.
Regards.

Running the update directly from the iDRAC worked. I just entered downloads(dot)dell(dot)com to the server address, clicked to proceed and it found the same BIOS update and updated it.
Our firewall does not show anything blocked one way or the other when trying the same via OME. However, in both the failing and succeeding run, we do see TCP reset from the server and TCP reset from the client messages. However, as said, with that message it still passed when doing the update via iDRAC.
Another server is now failing with

Seems PowerEdge R640 works, and PowerEdge R430 doesn't work. Neither do our old PowerEdge M630. So for some reason our older hardware doesn't know how to download the software from OME, and it's not our FW blocking. Everything worked just fine in our last maintenance break back in May.

Hello @tosaraja,
Thanks for the info.
I suggest you to open a case directly with OMEnt support. They will need to check the logs to find out why this could be happening. And most probably will escalate the case to OME engineering.
Regards.

There is also an option to enable SMB v1 in OME
Application Setting --> Console Preferences --> Built-in Appliance Share --> check "Enable V1"
