OME - Discovery - Authentication
Hi,
We are seeing issue with the blade discovery. New to Dell hardware and recently bought MX blades. Running 3.2.1 version of OME and when we racked it seems the Engineer on other DC used different account on the iDRAC to discover the nodes via Chassis or some discovered with Servers.
Later we deleted the idrac account (admin) which was created initially for the discovery and deployed new account (ome) to discover/inventory the nodes. The account (ome) exists in Modular and blades but we see mixed results with the new account where some blades report as Proxied or Managed Alerts.
Question, is there any issue changing the initial discovery account from admin to ome user? Is OME remember the initial discover account? or Do you see any other thing we miss?
Any help appreciated.

Hello
I just tested changing the discovery password of the iDRAC in the discovery task. It seems to use the password that I put in when I change it. You can try restarting the appliance. Also, it looks like we released 3.3 today, you can update to 3.3 and see if the issue is resolved. It doesn't look like the download page is up yet with the fixes. When it is up this link should work. Updating through the appliance should be available now.
Thanks

Hi Daniel,
Thanks for the info. We did an upgrade and tested the Discovery and Inventory, it came out with Managed with Alerts and there are no inconsistencies on the Discovery.
I think initially we missed out to have same credentials on the Modular and Blades hence it is failing to set Managed with Alerts.
All resolved now.
Thank you.
