OMEnterprise 3.4 Systems Group List Default
- Why do the IDRACs being discovered get listed under just all devices and NOT say under Servers and or Servers\Dell iDRAC Servers list by default?
- WHY do some of these idracs show hostname while others might show the FQDN?
- Also...not sure if this is related but MD Arrays shows green check but there is nothing listed and I currently don't have any storage loaded into Dell OMEnterprise.

Hi,
Can you let me know if you create the discovery task by using the system category or multiple? It may list not as server if multiple is selected in device type.
Can you let me know how are the iDRACs settings on those show in hostnames and those in FQDN? Are the all the servers on domain? Hostname usually are displayed when the iDRAC is not in domain. Could you let me know more, like those displayed as only hostname, what model are they.
The MD array is showing as checked, might be the appliance's bug. Have you tried reboot the OME appliance and check if the MD array still listed?

After installing idrac service module on the server OS and then did another discovery/refresh inventory it then discovered the idrac via FQDN which is what I was trying to achieve...I would think that this would be independent of software running on the actual end server OS if this is done via IDRAC.
I also changed under application settings\console preferences\discovery setting to use DNS and IDRAC Hostname. After that was made the MD storage green check went away
Still have issue where servers are not being added to the servers list. On the discovery we are discovering by IP of the IDRAC and using WSMAN with the IDRAC logon credentials. What other method selection should I try to discover the server? Our OM Essentials setup we used OMSA and SNMP to discover. I prefer the amount of information that OMSA/SNMP was giving us vs Dell OM Enterprise.
Please advise

Hi,
Would you be able to provide me a screenshot of the All Devices page that is showing the iDRAC being detect (be sure to cover the service tag). I'm noticing that the Server grouping aren't having any check marking, but no server is listing in the group right?
Could you, try on another browser to open OME. Alternative, could you clear the cache and cookies.

I've tried different browsers, clearing cookies/cache, etc. Here is a screen shot.

after rebooting appliance these devices now show up in the Servers\Dell iDRAC Servers default group.
