OpenManage EnterPrise can't add server

 Hello Dell Suppot team.

We using OpenManage Enterprise software, registered the server through the Discovery tab, as a result status failed.

We checked Message  below contents:

Running

Discovery of target (IP address) Started.

Discovry taget resolved to IP (IP address)

Http status:200

Operation failed.

========EEMI Code CGEN1013 ========

Message: Unable to connect to the device ovcer because a connection error occurred.

Recommanded actions: Make sure that the target device is available and retry the operation.

==============================

Task Failed. completed With Errors.

So, we executed IDRAC Reboot and the, one more add server. but same result.

Please let me know how this issue handle it.

Best Regards.

Hi @min88012,

There are a couple of things to check for the discovery of the server via OME. Is this the only server not being able to be discovered? Are there other servers? Is this your first time using OME? What is the server's model, and how is the server being discovered? - Through iDRAC or OS? Are you able to log in to the iDRAC of the server using the same credentials that have been entered into OpenManage? Have you verified the iDRAC is able to ping to the OpenManage appliance and that the WSMAN port (443) is open to both?

Hi @min88012,

Since you've been using OME to discovery a lot of servers, I may rule out firewall blocking port 443. You're using iDRAC discovery, hence try using Dell EMC troubleshooting tool https://dell.to/3iuHIt9 to check if OME server is able to reach the iDRAC that you're trying to discover. Can you elaborate more about you have executed the iDRAC reboot.

 Hello Joey C

How are you?

It seems like an entirely pointless explanation. After that, many servers are well registered and used.

Please let me know that suggest another way.

Best Regards.

Hi @min88012,

I'm doing good.

If you have already tried the troubleshooting tool that I've suggested, and it's not showing any root cause of the issue, then the best suggestion would be for you to contact the OME support (System Management) as the support will need to analyze the OME's logs to find the root cause.
