OpenManage Enterprise update using baseline

Question about updating firmware using OME and the firmware/driver compliance baseline. I tested updating a server which has not been updated in a while. I used the "make compliant" option and selected all the available updates from the repository I setup. After running the update some updates were successful, some failed. Is there a way to schedule the job to run several times? Maybe some of the failures were due to incremental updates?

I find I frequently have to go to the individual server and run 'Refresh Inventory', then run the compliance check again. Failing that, I typically have to go to the individual device, reset iDRAC (Troubleshoot > Reset iDrac), then repeat the above; refresh inventory and run compliance check.

There are a number of thread here with the failed reboot issue, so you're not alone there.

HTH.

Hello,

The job scheduler is able to set up recurring jobs. Page 122 provides details on this, but it is the "Run On Schedule" option.

As for the error message, the only job that failed was the reboot itself.

Created Reboot Job (RID_146738181255)

Job status for RID_146738181255 is Reboot Failed

I'd manually reboot the target system.

Even after another reboot most of the firmware was not updated. I selected all firmware to update.
