Openmanage Enterprise Webpage timing out quickly

Hi,

I've just installed OpenManage Enterprise as a VM and I'm running version 3.5. No matter what browser or device is use to connect to the webpage, It times me out way before the timeout settings are configured (default of 30 minutes). Sometimes it can be 2 minutes, others i can work for 15-20 minutes before the page just refreshes back to the login screen.

I've tried multiple machines, multiple browsers, increasing the timeout, nothing seems to work.

The VM is configured with only 8GB memory instead of 16GB (as the host only has 8GB) but when it was built with 16GB is wasn't running out of resources (or paging to disk in ESXi) so I don't think lack of memory is the issue as I see no performance issues when navigating round the webpage.

 

Has anyone else come across this?

I have not seen or heard of this before. We can look at a couple things, but it may be necessary for you to call in to the OpenManage group. We have a couple things we can look at and try. 
It may be it is a resource issue, so you could use F12 option in Google Chrome and select the Network tab to get all of the network calls being made, then when the issue happens it can be exported to see if a particular call timed out or something. It does sound like a resource issue or a possible  combination that makes a defect.

Oddly, even though a reboot was required to change the spec to 8GB, I rebooted the appliance again and it's working now.

 

thank you for your suggestion's though, I'll bear that in mind if the problem starts again.
