OpenManage Services unmanaged devices
Hey Everyone -
I recently added the Services plugin to OpenManage (3.9) and it shows our servers as "Unmanaged" in the Services Site Health screen even though under devices they show the state as managed - anyone know what else I need to do or how to resolve this? See screenshots below:

Hi @chris.utley,
Have you tried restarting the OME appliance? Previously do you use SAE (SupportAssist Enterprise)? What type of OME are you using? OMEVV?

Hey Joey -
I have tried restarting and have not previously used SAE. For OME, I have the OMEVV plugin though I don't have it configured. Is that a requirement in order to get the Services plugin working properly?

Chris.Utley,
If it is showing as Unmanaged it is due to one or more of the following reasons;
Not supported
The complete information of the device is not retrieved during the discovery.
The complete information of the device is not available for Services to classify under managed devices.
The device is no longer reachable due to various reasons.
Now it sounds like maybe inventory didn't get collected on the nodes or something like if OME doesn't have the inventory for the nodes.
What I would suggest starting with would be to remove it from inventory and then rediscover it and see if the issue resolves itself.
Let us know what you see.

I figured out the issue, it has to do with the license we have that is marking it as unsupported. I'll follow up with our sales rep and see what we need to do. I initially ran the discovery through OME itself and not the vcenter plugin - the vcenter plugin gives a bit more detail.
