Static Group Permissions
Is there any way to assign user roles (administrator / device manager / viewer ) to static groups? I would like to assign permissions to static groups I have created, so that those groups can only deploy / update firmware / run reports - on the static group they have permissions to - and nothing else. If it's not possible , will this be available in the next update for OME?

There is currently not a way to assign the permissions based on groups of servers, but I do believe there are plans for RBAC eventually, but I don't have any further details on it currently.

I'm brining up this question since i'm in need of this specific feature.
I need to grant some admins the "Device Manager" role, but just on a specific Static/Query Group.
I was not able to set the roles that way on my OMEnt Version 3.5.0 (Build 60).
Will there be this option?

as Chris said for the moment we don't have any information about implementing Roles in a new OM Enterprise version, sorry.

Sad I didn't found out how to configure it. Sorry to the Dell folks, this was a big layer 8 problem of mine.
For everyone who might not know how to do it and found this old thread. Add a user or group and give them the device manager role. There you can select static or dynamic groups of devices for the specific user/s.

Hello,
since TechSB asked the question in 2019 according RBAC and brb_e asked the same question two years later you talked about "At the moment...". Now I'm asking that question again, when will RBAC be available and how long is a moment? It is a needed feature if you have a bigger IT landscape, where different teams are responsible for different servers. Multiple OMEs just to get that function would be absoltue overkill, but seems to be the only possibility. Has the RBAC feature request ever been forwarded to the developers?
