Vrtx CMC EngineID changes on failover/reset
Hello,
I did not notice the Vrtx CMC engineID changes on a failover/reset. Is it possible to setup the engineID to be static?
Thank you.

Danielpat,
You indicated it changes on failover, but is that the cmc that you viewed the Engineid on that you failed over, or are you viewing the cmc that one failed over to? If you fail it over again to where the original one is primary again, is the Engineid the same as before?
Let me know.

Hi Chris,
I am using the testtrap to generate an snmp message then I am using gettrracelog to get the engineID from the message sent.
I have an engineId when CMC on slot 2 is active.
May 13 14:20:05 [servername] cmclogd: V3 trap parameters : engineID=0x[...]9a62ca
then I have the CMC on slot 1 active and I get a different engineId.
May 13 10:27:47 [severname] cmclogd: V3 trap parameters : engineID=0x[...]9d36a2
I fail over again so that the CMC on slot 2 is active and again and I have a different engineID.
May 13 10:33:15 [servername] cmclogd: V3 trap parameters : engineID=0x[...]9d0018
Thank you
