We have another forum we are setting up specifically for Enterprise :)

The 11G support is pretty limited in Enterprise.  The product primarily focuses on 12, 13, 14G PowerEdge.  For 11G, you should probably be able to discover via WSMan and get some inventory.  Also, you should be able to get formatted SNMP alerts in the console for these servers.

Very disappointing that the new tool will not fully support 11G's.  We invested heavily in them and while they are long in the tooth, some will still be in production for a few more years yet.

I suppose that's why I'm loaded with "Connection to the device was not successful alerts in the new OpenManage Enterprise?

I'll pass the word along for sure with your concerns....I understand.

One of the significant new directions in Enterprise is the focus on out-of-band management.  So where you would have gotten a lot more support in 11G with OMSA+SNMP, etc, the WSMan support is not as robust as with 12/13/14G models.

Just trying out Enterprise.  What is the equivalent configuration if I used the OMSA+SNMP with Essentials when setting up discovery?

Hi Doug, thanks for the question.

For Enterprise, we are really shifting the emphasis to out of band management via the iDRAC.  So the best experience will be to discover your iDRAC via WSMan (which is the default settings).

This version of the product does not have support for OMSA+SNMP or OMSA+WMI.
