Discovery finding non instrumented devices
Good Morning,
Upgrade our OME install to 1.1 On Monday seemed to go fine until last night. We run our scan and inventory on a Thursday night which has worked for about 5 months. I have the scan set to only include Instrumented devices. However this morning I have 13k devices added and OME is going nutz with alerts from Printer and PCs.
Has anyone seen this ?

Good Morning,
Yes these are all getting classified as Unknown. The reason OME is going "Nutz" is that we have staus alerting setup with emails and its emailed ever 15 minutes if a PC or printer that was on in the scan but is off now.
Is there a change that the Instumented devices only radio button does not do what it used to?

Paul,
Are these printers and PCs classified as "Unknown" devices ?
Do you have 13000 devices discovered in OME 1.1 and all classified as Servers ?
Can you elaborate more on what you mean by "OME is going nutz" ?
Is the services crashing or you seeing performance degradation in the Console ?
Are you seeing erroneous alerts ?
Are you seeing "System is down" alerts ?
Thanks,
Raj Shresta

Hi Paul,
Australia support will need to contact Americas support for patch.
There is a sticky post at the top of the forum they should be able to refer to (System Down Alert).
Thanks,
Rob
