ESXi 5 : Warning - No more information
Hello,
Curious thing on ESXi 5 discover in OME.
I have 2 hosts in "Warning status", and i don't have any information about this alarm.
I can only see that the warning is on the agent Name "Server Administrator", this component is up-to-date and is running.
Can we expect any detailled informations about this alarm ?
Thanks

OME retrieves this health status from OpenManage Server Administrator.
You will have to launch OMSA web interface which manages the ESXi host to get additional information on the warning. Since you can't install OMSA web interface on ESXi, typically customers use some other server to install web server component for OMSA and use that to manage ESXi. You can also install it on the server where OME is installed.
Currently OME does not support launching OMSA by right clicking on the ESXi host like it does for other servers. This is something we are considering for next release.

Hi,
Thanks for your post. This definitely brings up a good point. We are enhancing the ESXi support in the upcoming version of OME. I'll check if the OMSA App Launch will make the cut for the upcoming release. If not we'll definitely consider it a priority for the following release after that.

Any update on this? Is the ability to directly launch OMSA still being planned? Seems "lacking" to get a warning, but then have to launch another app to get the details...
