First Time Users of OpenManage Essentials...
OME team,
For folks new to OME, please spend a few minutes looking at the content on www.delltechcenter.com/ome.
We have:
-whitepapers
-videos
-FAQs
-Doc
-and more.
Lots of the most common getting started questions can be found here. And if there is more content you'd like us to add, please post your ideas to the forum.
Thanks!
Rob

The Videos Section available here points to section where there are just the thumb nails. Unable to view the videos. I saw a comment on some other thread that Videos and embedded in the PDF files, but I did download PDF files relevant to some of those topics and none has any section specific to Video and was never prompted to allow access to video content.
Could you please provide the URL of the PDF that actually has the videos correctly available or fix the availability of the videos on the main site.
Thank you
Arun

Let me look into this.
I just ran a few directly from the www.delltechcenter.com/ome page. The videos at the bottom load up ok. But I'll check on the other page.
Thanks,
Rob

Arun, what browser are you running? The videos work fine for me in Chrome, Firefox, and IE9.
I understand that there may be some issues with earlier versions of IE.

Arun, I can replicate your issue now and I have a workaround. I've also reported it the issue (hopefully it gets fixed soon)
The workaround is to access the page directly without the link to the videos page, then either scroll down to the videos or click on the videos link in the table of contents:
en.community.dell.com/.../1989.openmanage-essentials.aspx
It turns out that if you directly open a page with any anchor tags like to the videos or whitepapers, our advanced features are broken. Again, I've reported this to the team that can address this issue:

Hi keriaks,
Glad it works now and Thank you again for reporting the issue. You've helped our team shake some bugs out of the page, which will help other community members that want to view the videos.

Yes, for sure. Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback.
If you can just create a post in this forum and include New Feature or something in the topic. I will be sure the OME marketing team gets to review your ideas.
Thanks,
Rob

Hey Rob,
I have been using OME for a couple weeks now and I am impressed the interface and the discovery capabilities. There are a few suggestions/shortcomings that I have identified that really take away from the overall usability. Where is the best place to voice these suggestions/concerns? Here? A new forum post? I would love you hear what the rest of community thinks about the product.
Thanks,
Casey
