MAC Address: 0000000000000000 was discovered
Today suddenly most of my listed servers in OME disappeared. All servers are Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. All servers and iDRACs are configured for SNMP. On all servers is OMSA 6.5 installed.
The cause I found in the application log.
Example:
A duplicate device has been detected. Device (name: server1.my.dom, ip
address: , internal ID: -939603366) was deleted because the
MAC Address: 0000000000000000 was discovered on another device (device name:
server2.my.dom, ip address: 192.168.100.100, internal ID: -892613449).
This behaviour of OME is not correct!
Every Windows Server has a NIC with the MAC Address 0000000000000000. It's the "WAN Miniport (IKEv2)".
How can I suppress this behavior of OME?
Best regards
Barbara Joost

Hi Barbara,
This will be fixed in the upcoming release. In the meantime, please review this thread. You may be able to edit dconfig.ini to work around this behavior.
