Migrating the OME Database?
Hi
We have a 2.5.0.1005 installation. It'll hopefully be replaced within the next 6 months, but the SQL server needs to go as its on 2012 which is EOL.
i've had a look at this doc, but it's pretty old - is it still valid?
So our preferred SQL Platform is now AWS RDS and they support
SQL Server 2019 CU16 15.0.4236.7, released per KB5014353 on June 14, 2022.
SQL Server 2017 CU30 14.0.3451.2, released per KB5013756 on July 13, 2022.
SQL Server 2016 SP3 GDR 13.0.6419.1, released per KB5014355 on June 14, 2022.
SQL Server 2014 SP3 CU4 12.0.6439.10, released per KB5014164 on June 14, 2022.
Will the old OME work on any of these versions of SQL?
Do you see any problems using RDS?

Hello l4ndo,
OpenManage Essentials and OpenManage Enterprise are not supported on AWS at this time.
OpenManage Essentials version 2.5 is the final release. No further product enhancements will be added.
You can select any instance of SQL Server 2008 R2, 2012, 2014, or 2016. Page 13 : https://dell.to/3GpEGzF
We have the QuickMigrate Tool available to help migration from OpenManage Essentials to OpenManage Enterprise.

Instructions are in the Readme_QM.txt once you extract the zip file.
