Non-Compliant Systems Not Showing Up

Question

I have an issue, that I can see that I have x number of systems non-compliant, but when I go to the tab for them, none are there.  This also stops me from being able to update them.  If I restart the server, I can see them for a short time before they all disappear again.

do the servers appear in the non-inventoried or compliant tab? on the summary tab: what is the source and does it say you are at the latest version of the catalog?

Yes the non-inventoried and compliant servers do show up, I am on the latest catalog

Sorry, just to be clear, you click on the red part of the pie chart and when the non-compliant tab comes up, it is empty and does not contain servers.  Is that what you are seeing? thx!

those are the specs for the VM, all 4 cores are assigned.

Ok, it looks like those specs are just fine. Thanks for checking.

Let's double check the version of your catalog. Can you click on View Active Catalog and tell me what version it is?

And send the Source Type, Release ID, and Date.

As far as more troubleshooting steps let's try:

1. Reboot the OME server (makes sure both DSM Essentials services are started, and in general have a fresh start)

2. Are you running OME locally on the VM or from a remote browser? Try locally on the VM/OME Svr.

3. Go to discovery ranges and run inventory for the desired ranges

4. Go to software update and choose catalog, web, and download catalog from Web

5. When the pie chart changes color and catalog task shows 100%, check the non-compliant tab

6. If they show and disappear, trying refreshing page f5 or close browser and start and see if they are there.

if you subtract the non-inventoried and the compliant servers from the total discovered servers, how many are missing?

Well, I think we've collected what data we could here in the forum. I'm at a loss. I'll need to ask you to call 800-945-3355 to open a ticket with support. From there, we can collect more info on your system, collect logs, etc., and hopefully get to a quick resolution.

If you restart the SQL instance service that holds the OME database (MSSQLSERVER by default), do the systems show up under non-compliant?

I have the same issue. The System Update Compliance Report pie slice shows 3 non-compliant systems. When I click on it, I only see two servers on the Non-Compliant Systems tab. The missing server does not show on either the Compliant, Non-Compliant or Non-Inventoried Systems tabs.

The missing server shows under Devices \ Servers and I can access the Server Administrator information. It seems as though only the System Update function has an issue with this server.

I have rebooted this server and the OME server and inventoried after each reboot. I have also deleted and rediscovered the server. The database is on a SQL Server cluster.
