OME 1.2.1 with HF1001.1.2
I have an issue with 6 R620's with the IDRAC7 Enterprise. WS-MAN finds the iDRACs without issue. OME find the iDRACS via WS-MAN ONLY. ALL 6 devices show as non-inventoried. This only happened after updating the iDRAC firmware to 1.51.51. OME has been patched with hot fix. NO CHANGE. iDRAC was reset to factory defaults (following another post). Still shows as non-inventoried. This is only happening on my R620's. I have two R720's with FW 1.51.51 and OME inventories those servers with out issue. I was told by support that 1.51.51 has known issues and to roll back the FW.
Is rolling back the FW the fix and when will a new FW for the iDRAC7 enterprise be released?

Thanks for the post.
First, can you review the steps in the HF readme which should show the steps to confirm the HF applied as expected?
So you are saying that the two R720's seem to work ok now yes?
And the R620's still do not work after the HF?
The problem that the HF solved was that when running against 1.50.50 or greater, OME could not collect certain inventory tables from the iDrac, thus they went under non-inventoried.
I wonder if you can manually re-run inventory on those 620's (right click run inventory). Or delete the devices and re-discover.
Rolling back the FW on the iDrac to pre-1.50.50 is a workaround, but in fact, the HF was supposed to fix this and allow you to use 1.51.51.
If re-inv/disc does not work, you should call back in and report your results. The support team may need to review your setup and see why the 720's are working but not the 620.
Thx

Hi Rob.
OME Version Information:
Essentials Version: 1.2.1.0
Services Version: 1.2.0.3441
Console Version: C#_20130611.1
DataScriptsVersion: DataScripts_20130611.2
Hotfix is applied if I read the Hotfix FAQ correctly. I have tried numerous times deleting my 620's and then adding them back. OME will discover the iDRAC (WS-MAN) every time. OME will never inventory my 620's with WS-MAN. I have even tried SNMP (deleting the entry out of OME first). It too can not inventory my 620's. This all started after updating the 620's FW (idrac, lifecycle, bios, etc) using the lifecycle controller. My 720's have never had this problem. I can discover and inventory them using WS-MAN all day long. All of my 620's and 720's have the IDRAC7 Enterprise at FW level 1.51.51.

Is your device name and DNS dname in the drac a FQDN something.example.com or something.example?
I found that the latest versions of DRAC FW do not like non FQDN info there causing issues with OME and how it gets the info from the DRAC during inventory.

So just to be sure, after the Datascripts, you should see a version for HF1001 or something like that. Can you confirm?
Thx

Rob,
I just installed the hot fix (OME_1.2.1_patch_3448.exe) again with no errors. I do not see anything in the version information that has HF anything in the name. How can I confirm the hotfix is installed?

Hmmmm, well you are hovering over the version in the About Box since you are seeing the minor version info in the table...HF should be listed in there.
Maybe review the install log under c:\windows\tmp (toward the end of the file). See if there is any telling info there.

BTW, the hotfix is supposed to restart the OME services as well as do an IISRESET. Not sure if you try to manually restart the services or iisreset if that would help. You might call 800-945-3355 and let them know the HF did not update the version in the About Box.
Thx
