OME install fails on publishing IIS, ASP.Net error
Hi,
I'm trying to install OME on my R200 server, Dual core Xeon, 8GB RAM, 1TB HD and right at the end when it tries to publish the IIS essentials app it stops and uninstalls everything.
This is what the install log is showing:
Beginning Dell-SystemsEssentials-Catalog-Values.sql at 2012-10-26 21:28:40 ....
Deleting the Values...
Inserting the Values...
Website unzip complete.
Completed Dell-SystemsEssentials-Catalog-Values.sql at 2012-10-26 21:28:45 ....
RemoveWindowsGroups(...)
Website install started...

Uninstall()
RemoveWindowsGroups(...)
Deleting Database [OMEssentials]
RemoveRegistryKeys()
Website un-install started...
Website un-install completed.
I tried changing the default app pool to .net 4.0 to see if that helped and it didn't make any difference.
Thanks

Hi there,
Was this a pre-existing IIS install or did you let OME install and configure as part of the OME install?
Thanks,
Rob

Mine was pre-existing... I am trying to keep my management central to a single server. I am getting the same errors as above. I tried to call support and they said they don't have an OpenManage Essentials dept. I think they do...

Hi and thanks for the question.
You can just call 800-945-3355 and open a ticket. You should give them a service tag for one of your servers.
Do you have any websites defined in your existing IIS install? If not, some folks will uninstall IIS and let OME do the configuration of IIS for them.

Rob
