OME - Rest API

Question

Hello,

I am trying to implement OME 2.2 to connect our Dell servers and then use the Rest API to upload this data to our inventory system.

the problem i am having is when I see the "Server" in OME UI it shows me information like Device Info, Rac Device info ... etc.

but when I query this Server asset from API I only get returned the following object associated with the server:

Agents

ContactInfo

Device

DeviceCapabilities

Enclosures > EMPTY

Firmware

Memory

NIC

OS

Processor

Software

SwitchInfos

Warranty

However I would like to see the information OME has in the UI like:

PowerSupply Information

Device Card information

Embedded device information

Controller information

PhysicalDisk informaiton

Volume information

this information is available via UI but not API.

Hi,

Thanks for the details in the post.

We will take this suggestion of adding more inventory information against the device and pass it on to the right folks here.

Meanwhile, OME 2.2 also exposes the Reports shown in OME UI via REST interface.

The report interfaces like HardDriveInformation, FruInformation, StorageControllerInformation, VirtualDiskInformation, WarrantyInformation might be of your interest for the information you are looking for.
