Hi Cameron,

Hello Cameron,

Could you let us know what version of OpenManage Essentials you are using along with Silverlight version? This may help us narrow down the issue.

Additionally, you might want to try below pointers and see if issue gets resolved.

1. If you are using Silverlight 4.0 or 5.0, try uninstall it and install Silverlight_Developer from go.microsoft.com/fwlink ,hopefully it will solve your problem

2. if the issue still persist, install the Silverlight 5 tools, which you can find on this page: Silverlight.net downloads page.

Thanks,

Rajiv

I can not get silverlight installed and therefore cant installed on server 2008 r2.  I have tried all the SL clean up tools and hacks but each time it says cant create file or directory but nothing is in the log and temp subdir has all rights and Im in as an admin.  Ant idea when SL requirement will go away?

Any way to force sl install?

Can you try upgrading your windows server 2008 R2 with service pack 1 and try 64 bit version of latest Silverlight 5.

We have tried this setup in our environment here and found the silverlight working fine with this configuration.

Thanks,
Vijay
