Use file system source as - OpenManage server

 

Dell has released new SUU x64 and x32

I usually download the ISO and extract it in to my openmanage server and point my openmanage repository location to the particular folder

In this scenario x64 x32 to which I should point it out ? use file system source as ?

 

If I point the x32 will that means it will not pick up the x64 update status ?

Hi,

The SUU x32 iso has the same format as last quarter SUU release.

SUU x32 iso Contains:

  •     Updates for Linux , Windows x86 and Windows x64 (WOW enabled) Operating Systems
  •     10G to 13G Platform support 
  •     Carries Drivers, Firmware, Application and BIOS updates

From this release, 64-bit SUU iso also will be posted along with SUU x32

x64 SUU iso Contents:

  • Carries Linux and pure Windows x64 updates.
  • Platform Support: 12G and 13G
  • Carries Firmware, Application and BIOS updates

which iso to use is depend on the operating system and platform.  But, if you are expecting SUU format as of  last quarter, the x32 SUU iso is suggested.
